Privacy policy

Proximate does not have accounts, track personal identity, or send location data to anyone.

When you grant Proximate permission to access your location, your current location stays on your device and is only used to show nearby Wikipedia articles. You can revoke location access at any time in Settings.

To support augmented reality, Proximate requests access to your camera. This is only used to show the world around you on your screen in real time. Nothing from the camera is retained. You can revoke camera access at any time in Settings.

No data about you is shared with third parties beyond requests that the app makes to Wikipedia. Proximate does not use analytics, show advertising, or use third-party SDKs.
